Edward Bodmer is an internationally recognized authority with 28 years’ experience in financial/valuation modelling, project finance, investment, credit, and he has played a key role restructuring complex financial projects across Asia, Middle East and Europe. He regular consults fortune 500 companies that includes Bank of China, Asian Development Bank, Temasek Holding Singapore, HSBC, DBS Hong Kong, Santander Bank, CIMB, Citigroup Brunei Investment Agency, Saudi Fransi Bank and many other energy and industrial clients like General Electric, Tenaga Nasional, Shell Oil, Saudi Aramco, PwC, Linklater’s etc.
Mr. Bodmer has created innovative financial analysis and valuation methods that address financial modelling, capital structure theory, project finance structuring, terminal valuation and the relation between return on investment and internal rate of return; developed a website on financial modelling and financial theory that is one of the most frequented websites in the world involving corporate valuation and project finance analysis. As part of his consulting activities, Professor Edward has created a wide variety of models for energy companies, investment banks, commercial banks and government agencies.
He does combine an extensive experience in modelling different facets in different financial markets. Some of the recent tasks include:- Modelling the Fixed Income attribution of a multinational Asset Management Company Developing the Basel II market risk model for a major institution in Asia, Africa and Middle East. Designed and implemented a financial & valuation model in an asset management company He is a regular faculty member at MIT’s Sloan Business School, the Korea Banking Institute etc. and has recently published a world renowned book titled Corporate and Project Finance Modelling, Theory and Practice published by Wiley Finance. The book introduces unique financial and economic modelling techniques that address many complex issues that are not typically used by even the most experienced modelers.
